Privacy Policy

Uni-Charm Corporation Sdn. Bhd.(“Unicharm”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. We are committed to protecting your personal data while processing your data to improve our products and services, communicate more relevant information with you, share your data with our service providers and marketing partners etc.

This privacy policy is intended to describe to you how and what data we collect, and how and why we use your data. It is important that you read this privacy policy together with any other notices and policies we may provide on specific occasions. This privacy policy supplements other notices and policies and is not intended to override them.

How We Collect Your Data

Direct interactions with you

We may ask for your data when you order our products or services, register on our websites or mobile applications, participate in promotions or surveys, call, email or meet us, apply for a job at Unicharm, or otherwise have direct interactions with us. Examples of such data may consist of contact information (e.g. email address, postal address, telephone number), account information (e.g. username, password), demographic information (e.g. gender, date of birth, family information), purchase or customer service history, and other information you provide us.

If you do not provide the information requested from us, we may not be able to provide you with all or part of our goods and services, respond to your queries, or enter into or perform a contract with you.

Your use of our online services

We may collect your data about your online activities when you browse our websites and social media pages, read our emails, or otherwise use our services through your browser or device, or your use of our applications. Such data may include usage data (e.g. clickstream and other online activities), device information (e.g. device identifiers, device manufacturer and model, device settings, browser type and version, screen resolution, operating system version), IP address, and other traffic data and log data (e.g. time and duration of your use of the service), and may be collected across your devices such as personal computers, smartphones and tablets. There are also cases we are furnished with your data when you see our products or other information on our marketing partners' websites or use their services.

We may obtain your location data such as data derived from your IP address and zip code, and geolocation of your mobile device identified by GPS, or nearby Wi-Fi or Bluetooth access point or cell tower. We will provide notice and choice to you when it is appropriate.

Your family members and your friends

Your family members and your friends may provide us with your data. For example, your family members may offer us your information when they participate in our survey; your friends' posts (e.g. comments, photos) on our service may contain your personal information.

Our partners and public sources

We may get your data from our marketing partners, third party data providers, and other commercially available sources; and social media and other publicly available sources.

Sensitive data

Children's privacy

We will not intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without parent's consent. Local storage

Web beacons
